Parulia Union Sadharan Vidyabhavan is an old Co-education Institution.It is situated at the outskirts of the village Uttar Gopinathpur in the district of Murshidabad,West Bengal.The school was established with the inspiration of Janab Abdus Sattar,a great organiser and a social worker of the village Barasila in the district of Birbhum.He come to this area with the mission of establishing a high school which was the crying need of the local people to get the facility of education at least upto the Secondary stage. 

           The school was started on and from February 3,1961 with 7 teachers and and a non-teaching staff (Peon).Now the school is running with 17 teachers and 3 non-teaching staff.

           The school being situated in the middle of the wide-stretched corn-field,paddy field and away from villages on all sides,its surrounding atmosphare is no doubt calm and quiet and free from hue and cry.It is so beautiful,so soothing and so charming that who ever has come to the touch of the school,has been greatly enchanted and desired to halt there for a moment to enjoy the natural beauty and to get fressness of mind.

           The Institution ,Parulia U.S. Vidyabhavan has a school attached Hostel where students of SC and ST reside and get education.Most of the hostellers come from remote villages.The reputation of the school is spread far and wide.
