
Shibnagar High School lying to the Eastern side of the river Bhairab was established in 1927 as a II- class school at Shibnagar, a remote village where the word 'school' was quite unknown to most of the villagers, under Domkal Block in the district of Murshidabad by Suber Ali Biswas, a person greatly interested in education. Later it was recognised as a X- class school in 1957 and finally upgraded to an H.S School entitled to teach arts subjects only in 2014-15 session by the School Education Department of West Bengal. It belongs to domkal CLRC, Domkal Circle,Domkal, Murshidabad. It is under W.B.B.S.E and W.B.C.H.S.E . This is a Government sponsored School and a government nominated managing committee has been functioning. All sort of people stand by the school thinking it to be their greatest wealth.
