
Situated in the village - Madanpur adjacent to the western bank of the river Bhairab under Berhampore Sub-division of Murshidabad district (W.B) the 92 Years old Madanpur High School (H.S), was established by some local eminent education-lovers in the Year 1928 with the active co-operation and assistance of a number of local people of this area. Since then this institution has been adhering to its ardent philosophy of making the students learn basic principles of behaviour, honesty, truthfulness, etiquettes and such other adorable qualities which can ensure the overall development of the children and make them grow as better citizens of this nation.
This Institution started its journey as a Madrasah and later transformed into a school in compliance with the demand and desire of the local people. In 1956 it was recognised as two class Junior High School w.e.f. 01-01-1956 and then as a four class Junior High School w.e.f. 01-01-1958. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education imparted its first recognition as High School to this Institution w.e.f. 01-01-1965. In 2010 the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) in Arts stream was introduced with the recognition of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The ICT programme was launched in 2013 with the assistance of the department of education, Govt. of West Bengal.
This Institution with one thousand five hundred students approximately on its roll has been striving to prepare for the students a sound and firm foundation upon which the building of the future citizens of our country can be erected. Broadly speaking, it is our dream to inculcate in the students all good ideas, values and habits by providing better education to them as they are the future citizens of our country.
