
Daulatabad Nisith Barani Sinha High School (H.S.) is a Government Sponsored, Co-Educational, Higher Secondary School. It is situated at Daulatabad by the side of Berhampore-Jalangi Stateway in Murshidabad, opposite to Daulatabad Police Station. It was previously named "Daulatabad Junior High School". The school was established on 6 January, 1964. It was initiated at the Office of Union Board, situated at the ground of Late Nurul Hossain Sarkar at Kewatala, by Late Nurul Hossain Sarkar (Founder President), Late Surya Kanta Mandal (Founder Secretary) and Late Ersad Ali Mandal (Founder Member). It changed its location when the number of students started increasing. Late Adwaitahari Sinha, the great philomath of Daulatabad, donated about 5 bighas of land in a prime location at Daulatabad for the construction of the building of the school in the name of his mother, Late Nisith Barani Sinha. And the permanent building of the school was constructed on this land in 1966. This school got the approval of Classes-V & VI on 01-01-1965. Later, it got the approval of Classes-VII & VIII on 01-01-1968. Next, it got the approval of Class-10 on 01-01-1979 and then it was newly named "Daulatabad High School". The name was again changed to "Daulatabad Nisith Barani Sinha High School" in 1988. The school was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in 2000 and it was named "Daulatabad Nisith Barani Sinha High School (H.S.)". The school was converted to Government Sponsored School in 2013. The Science Stream was introduced in the Higher Secondary Level in 2017. Now the school offers Bengali, English, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, Education, Sanskrit, Arabic, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biological Sciences to study in the Arts and Science Streams in the Higher Secondary Level.
