History

With a mission to enlighten the children of the area, where education was not a subject of interest at all, Sahajadpur Sarbagan High School started its journey in 1965 under thatched roof in a part of Sahajadpur Rajnagar Primary School Compound.  The School initiated its footprints with only 17 students. In the year 1967 the school got affiliation from the Education Department and become a Govt. Aided School.

The School could not come to its present identity unless it was nurtured by a few people of the area. With continuous support and help of the guardians and local people the School has been transformed from a hut with thatched roof to a four storied building.

Sarba Siksha Mission and other Govt. funds also helped this transformation. The School got the affiliation from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1992 and from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 2014. From 17 the number of students of the School has now been increased to 1940.
