History

The school has an old and important history steeped with the urge of upholding women education in this rural area. A meeting was held on 27-12-1976 by local social activists and conscient people and the school started from 25-01-1977 without Govt. recognition as an organising school  in the age- old building of the local landlord -RAI HARIKRISHNA MAJUMDER BAHADUR( 06/11/1855- 18/12/1895) who was well- renowned for his philanthrophic activities. Govt. recognition came on 01/01/1987 for classes V&VI, 01/01/1988- for VII&VII, IX - 2005 and X  in 2006 .Prior to obtaining recognition and upto 08/03/2011 the then Headmistress was MONOARA BEGAM who died most unfortunately while in service.The Institution has produced many bright students who has become sucessful in their working arena making the School glorious and famous in its rural neighbourhood .
