History

Huda-Herampur High School was established by some renowned person of the locality on 2nd January in the year 1952. At the beginning, where we see the building of the institution, was a society named “Sishu Mangal” near Shiv Mandir. Some renowned person-Late Najar Ali Saheb, Late Md Sadek Hossain Saheb, Late Samsul Haque Saheb, Late Lalit Mohan Ghosh, Late Banamali Ghosh etc. once thought to improve the society by teaching the Boys’ and the Girls’ of the locality. They tried hard and built the Society “Sishu Mangal”. After some years, the society transformed into Huda-Herampur Junior High School. First time, the School was recognized as two-class Junior High School with effect from 01.01.1953 by the District Inspector of Schools, Murshidabad as its memo no. 1034 dated 29.04.1953. Later, the School was recognized as four class Junior High School with effect from 01.01.1956 by the D.P.I. West Bengal. Again, the School was recognized as Ten -class High School with effect from 01.04.1960 by the Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal vide its memo no. 5289/G dated 21.04-1960. The School was raised to the status of an eleven- class School with effect from 01.01.1961 by the Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal vide its memo no. 13800/G dated 09.08.1962. The School received deficit grant (Grant in aid under salary deficit scheme) with effect from 01.01.1961, vide memo no. 021-8 142/65/1171/61-62 on 21.05.1963. The School was raised to the status of Higher Secondary with effect from 2005-2006 academic session by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education vide its G.O. No.-77-SE(H.S.) dated 19.07.2005.
