History

New Farakka High School started its journey in the year 2001 with only 315 students in the morning shift of Prof. Syed Nurul Hasan College. In the year 2006 it was upgraded to Secondary School under the WBBSE. And later, in the year 2010 it further upgraded as Higher Secondary Institution with its affilliation to WBCHSE. In the year 2015 Science stream was introduced in the H.S. Section. 

The school has a history of winning Youth Parliament Competition in the Block level and of representing the Block to District four times. The school won Block Level Football Competition twice. It has the record of becoming the Champion in Subrata Cup Football Competition in the Subdivision Level. On various occasions like Youth Day on 12th January, Netaji Birthday on 23rd January, Republic Day on 26th January, Kanyashree Divas on 14th August Independence Day on 15th August the students of the school have been actively participating in the Block Level Programs. In the year 2015 New Farakka High School was awarded with Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar.
