History

To cater the educational needs of rural students of village Giria and its surroundings, Giria High School was established in the year of 1951 with the help of some local eminent educationists and social workers at the bank of river Padma. This Institution faced many natural calamities like severe flood and landslide many times. Later the school was shifted to Mithipur village of Jangipur, Murshidabad with very small set up.But now this institution has become pioneer of learning in Jangipur sub-division with efforts of all. The vision of the school is to disseminate quality education and produce responsible citizens of the country who in turn would nurture the rich-composite culture of the nation.
