History

Sarat Palli Balika Vidyalaya (H.S) is situated at Sarulia by the side of NH-34, admisdst BDO office, Beldanga Police Station and Railway Station, under Post-Barua, PS-Beldanga and District of Murshidabad. The school set up in 1984 with the help of the welknown, cultured and education interested person of the locality. They felt the necessity of the Girls School in the locality as the nearest school for the Girls was more than 2 KM away. The School started in 1984 with 4 local teachers-Fulu Rani Guha (H.M), Sikha Sanyal, Sefali Dey and Chandana Dey who had gone from door to door to bring the girls of the locality in the area of the organised school. It started working only with 26 student of Class V to VIII. However the school got govt. recognization as a Junior Girls School of Class V and VI in the year 1986 and the next year of Class VII and VIII. Gradually the school developed both from physically and the number of student. It was upgraded step by step as a Madhyamik School and H.S School in the year 2000 and 2012 respectively and now the total number of student in the shcool is more than 1000 (thousand) and only Arts stream is taught in H.S section. The school at present become welknown and also gained popularity not only as an educational institution but also for its cultural side.
