History

Jemo is familiar in Indian History for playing great role in Swadeshi Movement. The place is also famous for being the homeland of Acharya Ramendra Sundar Trivedi , the   renowned Scientist, Philosopher and Essayist.

Philanthropist Raja Narendra Narayan Roy ,the king of Jemo of that time and also the  father-in-law of emiment Ramendra Sundar Trivedi founded a school in his palace in order to spread the light of Education mostly among the middle and lower class families  who deprived from Education for Generations.

Later  on  some Educationists and social workers of the locality took initiatives to shift the school to the new building donated by the Royal family of Jemo in 1940 . That is known as  Jemo Narendra Narayan High School which becomes one of the best educational Institute at present.
