History

Moldanga Primary School, established on the 22nd of February, 2011, operates under the Bolpur West Circle and falls under the jurisdiction of the Birbhum District Primary School Council. Strategically located just beside the main road leading to Illambazar, the school benefits from excellent connectivity, ensuring accessibility in all weather conditions.

The institution comprises a newly constructed building alongside an older kitchen structure. Currently, in the academic year 2025, approximately 120 students are enrolled under the dedicated guidance of five permanent teaching staff members, including one female teacher. This student-teacher ratio ensures individualized attention and holistic development.

The school campus features a modest open area where students engage in recreational activities during breaks and designated games periods. Additionally, a small but well-maintained library caters to the diverse academic interests and requirements of the students. Moldanga Primary School emphasizes extracurricular engagement, regularly organizing activities such as sports, music, dance, and drawing to nurture creativity and physical well-being.

Nestled on the outskirts of Bolpur Municipality in a semi-urban setting, the school is adjacent to Shiksha Satra, a renowned educational institution founded by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. This proximity to such a historic center of learning aligns with the school’s mission of imparting quality education to the children of Moldanga village and its surrounding areas.

Since its inception, Moldanga Primary School has been committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence and holistic growth, serving as a cornerstone of educational development for the community.
