The Raghaipur Primary School was established before the independence of India. Earlier, there were two primary schools at the two ends of this Mongaldihi gram panchayat. The village of Raghaipur is in the middle of the panchayat. It was impossible for students to commute 5 kilometers to reach the school. Some well-intended people of the surrounding six villages unanimously decided to set up a primary school in Raghaipur village. The villagers donated 6 Kothas of land for the school. Some of the well-wishers of the village voluntarily started teaching at the makeshift school without any remuneration. It was in 1946 when the school achieved government recognition.
