HISTORY:

Rabindranath Tagore is a burning star in Bengal as well as Indian education and literature. While thinking about Rabindranath Tagore, Shantiniketan and Birbhum peep in our mind. Akamba is a socio–economically backward small village under Illambazar Development Block, Birbhum and Joydev Kenduli Gram Panchayat. Akamba Junior High School was established on 15th September, 2009. As there was no school building at that time, classes were held at Akamba Primary School. It shifted to the new building in the name of Akamba Junior High school on 13th April, 2013.

Mr. Chandranath Sinha, Honourable Minister in charge, Govt. of West Bengal, inaugurated the new school building for Akamba Junior High school on 13th April 2013.

Since the establishment in 2009 The school has been involved in social activities and fulfilling the requirements of students, guardians and society.
