History

Ramnagar Primary School, ensconced in the corner of the vibrant Bonavilla jungles by the Highway-14 started its journey in the year 1954. It had its modest beginings in a thatched one room hutment to cater mostly to the educational requirement of surrounding village community from conducting classes under the banyan tree to its present stature of a two story building, the Ramnagar Primary School has come a long way through the hard work and dedication of it’s teachers. Later, the school management was taken over by the WBBPE. The local panchayet also helps to maintain the school properly. Ramnagar Primary School has over the years intricately woven in to the fabric of the community life of the surrounding villages Daranda, Kamarpara amongst others. Due credit goes to the teachers who day in and day out strive to impart the best of elementary education to the students apart from providing a conductive environment for all round development of the students in their early formative years.
