History

Birbhum is a district lying to the west of West Bengal. The region is remarkably distinguished for its rough terrains, extreme climate conditions, dense tribal population and rich folk art. 

Established in 1940, the Patnil Palsa Primary School is still carrying the flame with same zeal and commitment that it started with to impart knowledge to the students coming from within and beyond the borders of Birbhum. The school has pioneeered the concept of 'school based educational system' in the district since the days of British Raj and changed itself according to the changing times of the post independent country into a modern educational institution.
