History

ABDUL  HALIM SMRITI  SIKSHANIKETAN(H)  started  its journey in 2001 to spread light among learners of the locality comprising of  so called remote villages like Sardanga ,Poshla ,Jalchandietc of Nanoor Block in Birbhum district. Abdul Halim  who spent his childhood in Sardanga and took his education upto class Viii in nearest school Kirnahar S. C High School and afterwards spent his life in struggle against British rule in India and for the welfare of unorganized labour class till his death in 1966 under Communist  Movement    realized the necessity  of educational  institutions  in the village for  developing social & political consciousness among people  raised the demand upto the legislative assembly of the state .After his death  gradually a primary school , one village library and last of all ABDUL HALIM SMRITI SIKSHANIKETAN  are established in Sardanga .ABDUL HALIM SMRITI  SIKSHANIKETAN  upgraded from Jr. High to High School in 2006 . Arun Chowdhury ,an educationist may be remembered forever who extended his help and initiatives for the favour of the the  State Govt.in establishing the library and High School in the village.First batch of students  appeared M.P Exam in 2008 .we, the teachers, non-teaching staff, SMC and local people all together  wholeheartedly tender efforts for   betterment  of the Institution . The Institution holds CAL & ICT Lab ,possesses play- ground , Stage for cultural programmes, MDM Kitchen Shed & utensils ,drinking water facility and experienced as well as trained teachers .
