History

Charkalgram High School  was established on 6th April in the year of 1959. It was like a new Sun in the the sky of Charkalgram. The school is under Nanoor block in Birbhum district.  The person who dreamt of this institution to provide the beams of education in the area was none other than late Ekkori Sadhu. He got Some people interested in education and some  learned people to pursue his goal and started the school  in a mud house at the fag end of west at Charkalgram. The school was started with 20 students in class v and 9/10 students in class six in the beginning. In that very year the school was sanctioned as a junior high school by adding two more classes by the government .The first H. M of this school who ctach the rope with gentle hand was none other than other gems of Charkalgram, Mr. Prafulla Kumar Roychowdhury. In the year 1970  the school was affiliated  by the state government and     upgraded as a Madhyamik school. So the journey started  with great success till now. Charkalgram High School  sanctioned as a  higher secondary school  in the year 2006.  It has become one of the best schools  in the Nanoor block  and its surrounding areas  with its honest endeavor . Charkalgram High School celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2009 with pomp and grandeur. Students from Charkalgram and its surrounding villages come to take their education and proud  their school in several areas in several aspects time to time.The institution is now running with more than 800 students giving a scope for serving  25 teaching and non teaching staff in the School.The institution is running successfully with the spontaneous participation and enthusiastic approach of the villagers of Charkalgram and its adjacent villages in every programme of the school.
