History

Palita High School, Vill & Po - Palita, P.S- Nanoor, Dist- Birbhum is a coeducational Institution with vocational stream (VIII+ and X+ level) which is situated in the remote area under the jurisdiction of Bolpur Sub-division, Birbhum. The institution was established in the year of 1926. The pioneer founder of this institution was Dr. Kenatullah, Vill &Po-Palita, Dist -Birbhum and also he was a social worker and renown medical practioner.

The school was recognised first time as a 2-class junior Madrasah and subsequently the Madrasah has been converted to 2class Junior High School by the West Bengal  Board of Secondary Education in the year of 1962.(Vide memo No. 5365/G dated 10.01.1966 with effect from 01.01.1966)

The institution upgraded to X-class High School by W.B.B.S.E in the year 1975(vide memo no 10246/G dated 14.11.75 w.e.f 01.01.1975)

Subsequently the school has been brought under salary deficit scheme in the year of 1980 w.e.f 01.01.1980as per G.O no 339(8)/G dated 11.02.1980.

In the present situation the school is purely Govt. sponsored Institution.
