
In 1959 Khansaheb Syed Alaul Haque inhabitant of Brahmankhanda donated land most probably 2 Acres for construction of Brahmankhanda Basapara Basic School to educate the local children. Because there was no education for mass. He was a social worker and he had a vision and dream for the people of this locality. Then he thought a need of high school in this locality. He gave 82 dcml land for Brahmankhanda Basapara Junior High School. In the year 1966 19th May stone laid down of Brahmankhanda Basapara Junior High School by district magistrate Mr. Mrinalkanti Kargupta (IAS). Syed Alaul Haque was the founder & doner of this school. But a small infrastructure was there and no Govt recognition. Syed Alaul Haque appointed five teachers from the locality by interview. But just the next year 30-04-1967 he suddenly died. Some educated people and those five teachers created a managing committee for running this unrecognised school properly. It was great luck that after one year 18-05-1968 school get a Govt. recognition of Junior High with effect from 01-01-1967 by W.B.B.S.E. High School recognition was done on 18-04-1980 with effect from 01-01-1979. This school is situated at Basapara but known as Brahmankhanda Basapara High School to honour the founder Syed Alaul Haque as he was the inhabitant of Brahmankhanda. Now it is a Govt. Sponsored Higher Secondary School and popularly known in Birbhum district
