History

Despite being it economically prosporous village under the jurisdiction of Hati Jamidary, the villagers were deprived of having education or to cover long  distance in the neighbouring villages to have their three R's. The  wretcheduess of the villagers touched the hearts of kind Gyananjan Hati, Ramranjan Hati  & Pundarikaksha Hati and  alongwith some well-wishers named Kalidas Sar, Sasadhar Mondal, Satya Kinkar Roychowdhury, Prafulla Bhattacharya of the villagers were decided to set up a school in the village in the name of Mukundalal Hati uncle of Gyananjan Hati.
