History

Sangra Sathis Chandra Memorial High School (HS) was established as a 10 class Co-educational School in 1963. The School started its journey as Senior Basic School in 1952. The School was set up by the then Honourable Zaminder Late Satyendranath Mukhopadhyay. Late landlord Satyendranath Mukhopadhyay founded the school in memory of his deceased father Honourable Satish Chandra Mukhopadhyay. So the school and was named  Sangra Satish  Chandra Memorial High School. 

Sangra S.C.M High School is situated at Chhoto Sangra , Dist- Birbhum, a remote village of the district . Late Satyendranath Mukhopadhyay , an educationist founded this school in memory of his father Satish Chandra Mukhopadhyay. This school was reconized by W.B.B.S.E in 1963 . It was upgraded H.S (XI class) in 1965 . Now it is one of the notabale H.S School (Class XII ) in the district. The Index Number of WBBSE is I-1-125 and the WBCHSE recognition number is 115235 .It is under Suri Sub Division and Sainthia Block. Nearest railway station of this School is Ahmadpur Junction.
