History

In 1945, with the zeal of some enthusiasts and visionary persons , a school was born at Mathapalsa  near Sainthia, opening an ambitious mission of educating the commoners who were far away from the realm of formal education.  

An impulse existed to create a Recognised School and in 1956 it was honoured as a Two class Junior High School by The District Inspector of Schools, Birbhum and thus constructed its first Managing Committee in the same year. First recognition as a four class Junior High School was implemented in 1963. 

Numbers swelled and confidence quickly grew in the Four Class Jr. High School and its strong team of teachers. There began to be a steady flow of students from adjacent all the villages our school raised to the status of a X-class School in 1970.  

Students left the school at the end of Class 10 to pursue their education at the neighbouring town, Sainthia, but this did not quite complete the vision for the school. The school expanded its wing and on 21st August 2015 it got the recognition of Higher Secondary with Arts and Science streams.
