History

Kamardanga Santal Primary School is a state government aided school situated in the heart of a tribal village, Kamardanga surrounded by natural forest on the back side of the temple of Ananda lok ashram at sehela Raipur of Md.bazar block in Birbhum, west Bengal. Kamardanga Santal Primary School is known to be one of the oldest primary schoolsin this tribal area. It was established in 1954 by some local enthusiastic people and others in a visionary and ahead-of-era intension to impart basic education to the tribal students. It is also crutial to mention the help of Ramjiu akhara (spiritual trust) to set up and run the school.
