Joypur High school is considered among top rated schools of Birbhum district with an excellent academic track record. The school was established in the year 1970 with the whole hearted support of a number of dedicated local villagers interested in education. In 1980 Joypur High School was granted its formal recognition by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as a 4-Class Jr. High School. The school was upgraded to X-Class High School (Co-Ed) by the WBBSE w.e.f. 1.5.2004.
