Buoyed and inspired by the ideal of cultural, educational and all-round development of the recently independent country of ours and starting from the grass root level by developing the village society, some spirited youths of Madhaipur and adjacent area established Madhaipur Pallimangal Vidyalaya in the year 1952 in the village Madhaipur in the underdeveloped block of Rajnagar in the district of Birbhum characterised by its red soil. According to those zealous youths a school is not merely a well-furnished building constructed by piling bricks after bricks funded by various sources. It is a lively sacred expression created for the real need of the society and civilisation with the mental urge and yearning of the entire mankind. These values inculcated by them have been running through generations and motivated people, connected with this institution, to think that the other name of a concrete traditional disciplined social institution which works towards achieving the goal of developing a child into an ideal human being through the process of imparting moral lessons and values is school. It was first recognised as a High School w.e.f. 01/01/1957 vide Memo No. 2056/G, dated 14/01/1957 by the Board of Secondary Education. Then it was raised to the status of Class XI from the session 1961 vide Memo No. 3115/G, dated 27/02/1961.Thereafter it was raised to the status of Class XII in the General Stream from July 1976 vide Memo No. 2253(Recog), dated 21/04/1976 by the W.B.C.H.S.E. By overcoming many hurdles and obstacles treading through an uneven and rough path Madhaipur Pallimangal Vidyalaya is at the threshold of 70 years of its journey.
