History

Khodaibag primary school is situated in the village Khodaibag under Rajnagar Circle/ Block in the western part of Birbhum district. It is under the entire control of the Birbhum District Primary School Council which is an autonomous body under the govt. of West Bengal. The school was first statted voluntarily in the village, later it got approval from the D.P.S.C. Birbhum in the year 1980. The total land for the school premises was donated by some kindful villagers who were interested in education and felt the need and essence of spreading the lights of basic education among the people of the village area. Previously it was a kaccha house made with mud, bamboo, and a roof of straws. Later in course of time, it becomes into a single brick-built building in the year 1980. At present, the building is a two-storeyed one with adequate classrooms, toilets facility, kitchen, dining hall. The school is recently provided with a running water  facility with the financial help of NGOs. The school premises including the classrooms and other constructions and open space covers an area of one bigha with boundary walls on all sides. plantations have been done and a seasonal flower garden is also made from time to time with the help of our students and teachers. All the students from our school provided with all govt. facilities like free textbooks, uniforms,  shoes, MDM, free medical check-ups. The classrooms are well equipped with electricity, bulb, fans, the desks for sitting accommodation of children .... but there is always a need for more development in this area. The school seeks audiovisual and computer-aided learning systems to impart education in a much more better and effective way. The total number of teachers at present in the school is five including one on deputation vacancy. They all are appointed with the requisite minimum educational and professional qualifications specified by the govt. education department. The school is a govt. Institution completely and all the school activities including school hours are maintained and followed strictly in accordance with the govt. Orders and directions.
