At that point of time the sun of newly achieved freedom was shining brightly in the cloudless sky of India. India had already started to enliven by the luster of vivacious wave of freedom. In the post independent period the leaders of our country engaged themselves in making the possible ways through which progress would be able to penetrate, fundamentally in the sphere of education.
At that very moment the father of our nation M. K Gandhi felt the nationwide keen illiteracy, untouchability and as well as the social hierarchy. He wanted to break down the entire hierarchical system by changing our education system. He sensed at the bottom of his heart that education must be given to every children at their initial stage.
One of the greatest pioneers of Bengal Iswar Chandra vidyasagar also had a magnificent contribution in propagating women's education.
Those schools which have been established during that period of time throughout the country, Belsara J. B school is one of the most well-known schools among those schools.
This school is located almost at the middle of the Dubrajpur and khairashol police station. Under the clear sky and beside the Shal river this school was founded in such an untroubled and serene environment. After the establishment of the school a few numbers of generous hands came forward to donate two acres of land for the school to be extended its premises. Gradually the school premises has been enclosed with the fence. And the rest of the land was used for farming. Earlier the school used to celebrate Saraswati puja on a regular basis from the earnings of farm land.
Belsara school is surrounded by five villages such as Belsara, kulekuri, Meje, Bankati and Banbundra. This open premises of school under the blue sky is always filled with buzzing noise of little children. Before there were total five standards in this school, at present there are total four standards in our school.
Priviously the school was one and half km away from the village, which is why the school was being faced various kinds of problems like robbery and theft. To protect the school from that insecurity, the location of the school has been changed. Recently the school building is refounded upon ten acres land donated by the descendants of privious helping hands. The pride of the locality, our school is standing still at Belsara village helding its head high.
