History

Kukhutia High School was established  in 1989. Before its existence the students of 9/10 surrounding villages of Kukhutia had to go to Dubrajpur. The five kilometer distance would become almost impossible to cross in the rainy season because of flood in the river Shal. Some persons, interested in education, came together and set up the school. The school started functioning in the Primary school building .Later , some villagers donated land  for the school building.Initially The school was recognized as a junior high school. In 2000, The school has been upgraded to a high school. From  the academic season 2017-18,  the school has opened H.S. arts stream.
