History

It was 1969.The residents of the village like Rasulpur,Champanagari,Jhirul ,Shimuldi,Jalalpur,Bajitpur,Tarullia,Gopalpur felt to need of ahigh school at Rasulpur for a spreading education among young boys and girls specially for a girls of the locality.At that time after primary education the students had to go to Hetampur Raj High School 5 km away from their locality.The guardians of the muslim dominated areas did not agree to send their doughters to Hetamour.S0 Fakir Molla ,Hajera Bibi,Kobad Molla donated land for the construction of school building.The adhoc committee was constituted for this purporse.Sri Gopal gobinda Mazumdar ,the principal of Hetampur krishna chanda college was the president and Mr.Ali Reja was the secretrary of that committee.Their contribution to set up the school deserves mention.The school was inaugurated in December,1969.The school had no building of its own.So with the financial help of the local residents a big shed was made.The roof of the shed was coverd  straw and date tree was used as pillars.At first the name of the school was' Pally siksha sadan'.In january ,1970 students of upper primary section(class vto viii) were taught.Unfortunately after few days due to natural disaster the shed collapsed and the classes were held in the houses of two local residents for quite a few days.Till then the school was not granted .In 1972 as a result of the earnest effort of Gopal gobinda Mazumdar and Ali Reja the help of Dhirananda Thakur ,the principal of Ahutosh college the school was granted w.e.f 1971 when West Bengal was ruled under the president of India.Marium Bibi helped financially and the new school building was built.The school was newly named as Rasulpur Marium Sikshaniketan.With five teachesr namely Sirajul Islam(HM),Md.Ilas (AT),Golam nabi Kaderi(AT),Sk Taher Ali(AT) and Gynendra nath Rooj (AT) along with Group-D staff named Sk Motalif and Abdul Halim the teaching was started in the school.The school began with 60 to 70 students.Most of the students used come from the village like Rasulpur,Tarullia,Jhirul,Shimuldi,Rangna,Gopalpur,Jalalpur,Bajitpur,Dobanda,Jalalpur,Champanagari etc and most of the students belongs to minority community.Though the school remained upper primary school for nearly this years,it was upgraded Madhyamik standared in 2000.
