History

This school was established in 1962.In the early days, the school was set up in the shed of Dharmaraj Mandir.After a couple of months, Sri Ajit Kumar Ghosh and Sri Amar Kumar Ghosh ,two reputed persons of the village,donated their land to build the school. At first, the school building was established in a form of cottage.In 2000, with the financial support provided by BDPSC and Birbhum Zilla Parishad, the school turned into a one-storeyed building .In 2008, again with the financial aid provided by Sarva Siksha Mission, the school gained the shape of a two-storeyed building with sanitary facilities. After a couple of years, the mid-day meal room was also set up.
