History

                  In the first decades of twentieth century Late Sitanath Sadhu ,a renowned person and social worker of Sahapur locality first realized that for a complete development of the area education is very much essential. With this thought he established the  school in the year 1939 and it got recognized as a class 2 school in the year 1955. He established the school in a place situated far away from locality and surrounded by garden. The environment and surroundings of the school was in such a natural atmosphere that people said it as “Second Shantiniketan “. Being situated at a distance from locality the school learning atmosphere should be free from outsider chaos but the students would face difficulty during summer and winter while school arrival and departure time . Keeping in mind these facts Sitanath Sadhu planted many trees in both sides of the road so that students could walk in the shadow of trees.But at the advancement of time the school properties were and buildings were destructed, some were stolen  and the school lost its beauty.During the year 1999 Subrata Kumar Dutta was appointed as headmaster of the school via SSC. He took the initiative to transfer the school to nearest locality. With his initiative two people interested in education Najrul Ahesan and Fajlul Haque of village Jatra of Sahapur Panchayet agreed to donate their land situated in Selarpur to transfer the school.Funds were arranged from SSM,MPLAD and local authorities to construct school buildings in its new address.The school was shifted in its new address in the year 2017 though Subrata Kumar Dutta was not alive than to see the result of his effort as he died suddenly in the month of March,2016.Now the school has its own play ground,computer laboratory,Solar power generating unit,cycle stand and many other facilities.The school has also obtained the permission to start the HS  session from the session 2019.
