In 1914, on a pious sunny day, the respected landlord Taraprasanna Singha Babu and some local education lovers had built Ayas M. E. School with their honest and sincere effort. In 1915, on 12th March, Ayas M.E. School had been approved in Birbhum district board(Memo no-3545/XII-7) on the basis of the appeal of honourable Taraprasanna Singha Babu and some education loving people of Ayas . In the midst of the village, under the steel roof of a mud hut with 3-4 rooms, the first day of teaching- learning process was started. It is known that the school was established for the first time under the landlordship of honourable Tarapassanna Singha babu and honourable Bindraban Chandra Das. And one decimal land was given to district board to resolve the problem of drinking water for the students. In 2011 the store room of the school had been built on this abandoned well. Honourable Lambodor Mandal, a very well known person from the village of Ayas took the responsibility of headmaster in AYAS M. E. School, established in 1914. He was a person with great foresight and great principle. At that time, another well known personality respected Ranajit kumar Mandal employed himself as the secretary of the school. He with some enthusiastic local people had planned to build a building with three rooms by bricks at the western side of the school. The arrangement for making bricks was being prepared but unfortunately it remained undone due to natural calamity and heavy rainfall. Due to this inconvenience, the building had to be build with raw bricks. In 2006 this building had been broken down and the school’s open stage was built in this place in 2011. In the beginning, respectable Rajendra Pandit, from kharun and respectable Abhayapada Bandhapadhya from Bagdanga (Kandi Block) in Murshidabad had joined as assistant teachers. They earned great appreciation as ideal teachers of that time.  By pursuing various files and data, it is known that on 3rd October of 1939,  Hoku Shek and Naku shek, son of Michu shek had donated eight desimal land to the school for the purpose of making school building and gardening. In 1943,honourable  Rajbala Dasi and his son respected Jatadhari Mandal  from Chakaipur village and respected Radharani Dasi from Valian (P.S: Mayureswer) together donated seventeen desimal land to the school which had been received by the honourable secretary of the school Karunasindhu Mandal on behalf of the school. In 1949, 20th June respected Sudhir Kumar Sutradhar from the village of Ayas had donated forty four desimal  land to the school and Karaunasidhu Mandal, on the behalf of school had received it. He wrote on the donate latter “On past 23/03/1949, the S.D.O of Rampurhat subdivition had arranged a campaign for prize distribution to the students of Ayas M.E School. On that campaign, seeing the various activities of students and hearing the description of all round development of the school by the dignitaries, presented in the campaign I felt a great love for the school and therefore being very delighted I donated this land for the increment of the income of the school.”

Without these, it has been known from various files of the school that with the great effort of the respected Sir Karunasindhu Mondal ,secretary of the school, seventy two desimal in 1942, seventy seven desimal in 1947 and eleven desimal in 1957 had been bought for increasing of the income of the school. So it is seen that respected Korunasindhu mondal had an undeniable contribution to the school. Whatever, on 1st January of 1952 Ayas M.E School had been approved as Ayas Extended M.E School( four classes) by the DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION .At that time, to avoid the lack of classrooms, money had been collected from the villagers of this area to build a pucca building with four classrooms at the eastern side of the school. Respected Kamala Kanta Mandal was the man to handle all about this project. He was also an ideal teacher. After the approval of eight class, honourable Nandalal Ganguly from Uttar Palsa had been appointed as headmaster of the school by the managing committee and respected Prafulla Kunar Mandal was appointed as an assistant teacher.

On 1st January of 1966 , this school has got the recognization from West Bengal Board of secondary Education. After the recognisation as high school, respected Bamacharan Dutta was appointed as headmaster. From then the school has been moving forward with the role of imparting quality education to the people of this area, irrespective of their caste, creed and religion. Thousands of torch bearers of knowledge had lighted their torches of wisdom from this institution, today they are well established and well known in various field of their careers.In 1972, this school had got the approval for Co-ed education. Though Co-ed education was there from the beginning, that time it was gradually increasing. For that reason, new classrooms were come in need. In 1985, the then secretary Haradhan Mandal of the school had sold a large part of his fertile land and built a classroom in the south side. In 2009, a big classroom was built in place of this abandoned classroom with the financial help of Ramchanda Dom, honourable M.P of this constituency .

In 2009, the school had got its own logo, own flag, own batch and computer training facility. With the untiring effort of the honourable headmaster and the secretary of the school and by the undeniable contribution of respectable Asis Benerjee,M.L.A of this area ,the school has got higher secondary level recognsation from W.B.C.H.S.E. In 2016 a gymnasium was set up in the school by the great effort of the head master and the local M.L.A. Moreover  Govt. now think about having own website of school , We have thought it in  2009 and all types of certificates and mark sheets are being computerised. Other than these noble men, mentioned before, many others might have given land , money or untiring labour for the development of the school, but unfortunately we cannot able to mention them due to lack of evidences and information. Because we have already said that we are writing history as if one is  going through dark days by using searchlight.
