History

The school was recognised first as 2-Class Junior High School w.e.f. 01-01-1962 by the D. I. of Schools(SE) Birbhum, vide memo No.663(4)/G, dated 16-03-1962. Upgraded as 4-Class Junior High School by the W.B.B.S.E. w.e.f. 01-01-1964, vide memo No. 418, dated 12-01-1965.

First recognised as X-Class High School by the W.B.B.S.E., vide Board's memo No. 15727/G, dt.28-09-1966, w.e.f. 01-01-1966 for 2 years. Finaly extension of Recognisation & Co-Education 'Until Further Order' by the W.B.B.S.E. G.O. No. S/508/ER/C.C./G/Misc/374, dated 30-07-1979
