History

Our Chatra G.L High School(H.S) was first established inside the chatra market, the place is donated by an inhabitant of Chatra in the year 1949. Subsequently it is shifted outside the Chatra market i.e at present situation, where a large area with a big pond donated by the inhabitants of Habishpur village. In this situation this school was recognized as class-X high school by the University of Calcutta in the year 1951 and subsequently it is shifted under W.B.B.S.E and finally our School is also recognized as Higher Secondary by the W.B.C.H.S.E. At present our School is running with Science and Arts stream in H.S section. Now there are so many Block, building, class room, Library, Laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Construction etc.) in our School.
