History

PATAGACHHI PRIMARY SCHOOL(75) belongs to the Birbhum District Primary School Council and falls under the jurisdiction of Paikar Circle. The school stands on a total plot of land measuring 06 shatak of Mukhlishpur mouja with JL no- 45, Daag no- 385, and Khotian no 660 .

Unofficially the school started its school activities such as student admission, teaching-learning on July 1, 1953 and till November 2, 1953 in total 25 students were admitted. Rashik Charan Das was then the Headmaster of the school.

Later on February 8, 1954, the school was officially recognised and that year the number of students increased to 94. It was then a small school made of four mud walls with a tin roof and had a small corridor. At present the school is housed in a two storeyed building including a Headmaster Room next to the Office Room, six class rooms, a corridor, a Midday Meal Cooking place, a boys’ toilet, a girls’ toilet, and a courtyard for Assembly Prayer for the students. The school is encircled with walls and stands on the north bank of a big pond.
