History

"Education is the backbone of the nation" - and we want ideal schools to make that backbone strong and strong. In the year 1976, following this ideal, in a remote village called Kaytha, surrounded by Shal, Palash, Arjuna, Mahua, the residence and work place of famous sages, "Birer Desh" and belonging to Nalhati-1 block of Birbhum district, honest, devoted to convey the light of education to the new generation. Chowdhury Abdul Alim and Chowdhury Tanbirunnesha, a generous, educated and philanthropic couple, donated 0.94 acre of Dighi and 0.76 acre of land. An educational institution called Kaytha SS High Madrasa was built on that land.

                         There is a misconception in the minds of people and students including parents and guardians called "Madrasah" but it is equivalent to high school and school. Here students have a good medium to learn Arabic as an additional foreign language up to secondary level. There are 10 teachers, 01 teaching staff, 01 ICT computer teacher, 03 vocational teachers and 2 temporary teaching staff in this madrasah. Currently, the number of students in the madrasah is about 700.  Boys and girls of different communities irrespective of caste and religion of the surrounding 4-5 villages study in this high Madrasah from fifth to twelfth standard. There is a student residence and hostel adjacent to the madrasah for the development of female students. "Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore" - based on his own educational ideas, established an educational institution in Santiniketan. He wanted children to grow up in an ideal environment close to nature. Through the combination of nature and education, the school premises have a variety of flowers, foliage and fruit trees. Following the pedagogy of Rabindranath Tagore, the education system of this high madrasah emphasizes on the practice of mind with nature. Along with traditional education, subjects like dance, music, sports, musical instruments (drum/cattle), gardening etc. are kept in a class routine in a week. Apart from this Madrasah also has technical education system where tailoring, Amin survey and house oiring-motor winding are taught. The madrasa has a library which has a collection of miscellaneous and miscellaneous books. There is a laboratory with equipment for Geography, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.

                               This madrasah was run by the T.I.C from its inception and finally on 21.12.2021 Mr.Golam Nabi Azad joined as the Head Master. He gave a new look to this madrasah. For example-

1. In Madrasah, many boys and girls from poor families stopped reading and got engaged in work due to various reasons. In order to bring them all back to the stream of studies, a campaign was conducted by conducting house-to-house campaigns and meetings with the help of teachers/mistresses/managing committee members. As a result of which "school-leave" has been reduced.

2. "Purity is half of the religion" - Purity, ablution is given special importance in accordance with this saying of Islam. As a result of which this madrasah bagged the first place in Swachh Bharat Nirmal Vidyalaya Award from the district in the toilet category.

3. Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine has been set up for girl students in Madrasas with the help of Hon'ble ADM Sir, Birbhum. 

4. "Janani Janmabhoomi Swargadapi Gariyasi" - is celebrated on 15th August and 26th January in Sambar with the aim to know, love and develop patriotism for one's country. 2022 subject to the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs (subject to compliance with the Flag Code) on 26th January Hon'ble District Governor Shri Bidhan Roy Mahashay hoisted the 30/20 feet National Flag which is hoisted day and night.

5. This madrasah has been upgraded to higher-secondary level in the academic year 2024.

6. A major problem in today's student society – “Mobile Phone Addiction”. In order to solve the problem, by imposing rules, the use of mobile phones in the madrasah premises has been banned by meeting with the parents of female students. I have been able to do various extra co-curricular activities (gardening/singing/music/sports) to divert their minds from mobile phones.

7. Keeping in mind the safety of the students, fire safety setup, madrasah premises surrounded by cc cameras, safe-clean mid-day meal kitchen, first aid kits and regular cleaning of the school premises with bleaching powder and carbolic acid. 

8. There are plans to construct a new building with additional class rooms in the madrasa with the cooperation of Hon'ble BDO (Nalhati-1) sir.

9. On the initiative of the Head master, Chowdhury Abdul Alim Mahashay donated 06 bigha of land as a playground with the cooperation of teachers/teachers/educational staff/managing committee members.
