History

Gazipur Primary School is situated in Muslim Para of Gazipur,PO-Parulia,Block-Mayureswar 1,PS-Mallarpur under Mallarpur Circle of Birbhum district,West Bengal.In the year 1946 the School started with two huts ,later on the hut were covered with tin shed.At that time there were three teachers and about hundred students.The name of the first HM was Olihad Sekh.Gradually the strength of the students increased.At present the shool consisting of five class rooms,one baranda,one store room, one kitchen cum store room and a well decorated teachers room cum office.All the class rooms are well furnished with board,table,chair,benches and cupboard for keeping TLMS.The school is having its own mike set for prayer and school level programmes. The school provides safe drinking(UVRO) for all students.Water for toilet ,urinal and washing basin for washing plates and utensils.The kitchen is well ventilated and gas is being used for cooking MDM.In this village one SSK is also available at Adibasi Para.At present there are 202 students studying in this primary school(pre primary to five).There are six teachers and one para teacher are posted in this school.Out of which one teacher is deputed to other school.Most of the students are first generation learner.Still most of the students come to the school everyday.Among the old students some are going for higher studies i.e. B.A,I.T.I etc.The village slowly and steadily progressing in education.
