Bahina Primary School established in 1973, has traversed a long path warding off the challenges of time and put its mark in the history of primary education in the area.
Because of its Geographical proximity to the famous pilgrimage centre, Tarapith, and for its booming mining industry and brisk business in the locality, BAHINA is well connected to the city of Rampurhat and Siuri.
The school is situated in a pleasant and peaceful environment. The Railway station is Mallarpur (MLV) and it is only fifteen minutes walking distance from the school. The N.H-60 , bifurcating the village, is only one k.m. away and regular and frequent bus services are available facilitating the communication for the students and guardians alike. The beautification of the school campus is under process.
Though our school is one of the oldest school in the district, some persistent and nagging problems put a hindrance before it to develop its infrastructure required for smooth imparting of knowledge. Admittedly, most of the students are from the disadvantaged sections of society, who are in need of personal care and nourishment. But given the large number of students it has become almost impossible for the teachers to take care of them at a personal level sufficiently. Despite this many of the teachers encourage them to attend their classes regularly and take lessons from them seriously. This teacher-taught relation instils in them a kind of confidence which, we hope, will bear fruit in very near future.
