History

The name of the school is Mollarpur Dharani Deben Sikshaniketan High School (H.S). It is located at Mollarpur of Mollarpur G.P.Z under Mayureswar Block No-1 in the district of Birbhum. As per the long standing demand of the poor tribal,middle class and minority people of the region, the school was established in june, 1985 in the name of the two great souls-Hon'ble shri Dharani Roy, the freedom fighter and Andaman Cellular Jail return and Shri Deben Roy the eminent social activist of the area. At first, the teaching learning process was started in a local primary school from the fifth grade to the sixth grade later, the three storeed building of the school was built the joint efforts of the local people with the donation of land and financial support. Gradually the school gets approval from class VII to class XII. At present thenumber of the students in the school is 1300. There are thirty four teachers , two clerks, three peons and a librarians in this school. The laboratory for the science department runs in three rooms in this school building. Besides, the school got the approval of vocational classes.

Considering the technical knowledge of the students of the area. The school library plays a leading role for the proor working class students. The results of the school reading and the secondary and higher secondary examinations of the students are very satisfactory as a result of the good will of the parents of the area . Although young in age, the school has gained a reputation in the area as well as in the district. All in all the future of this school is very bright.
