
Some social workers and person interested in education first took the initiative to establish a school in the town Suri in 1974.Their main objective was to make some development of our district through spreading the light of education.Sri Kashinath Roy an inhibitany of the village Kushumi situated near Birchandrapur of Mayureswar police station was in the first row of this great initiative who became the founder Headmaster of this institution later. Others were Sri Gouhari Chandra, Late Lakshman Chandra Ghosh, Late Jiban Mukhopadhyay,Late Prasanta Dutta,Late Abhaycharan Das and Late Umashankar Saha.Overcoming many difficulties in its way the school started its journey in a place near Bharat Sevashram Sangha,Suri Lalkuthi Para. It was the month of January,1974 then.The school was named in the name of great Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The school got its first recognition as a 4-class junior high school(Class V to VIII) on 1st January 1980 and later it was upgraded to a secondary school(upto Class X) in the year 1985.Now it has been upgraded to a higher secondary school(Arts stream) and started class XI from the session 2018-19.From the very first day of its birth the school is devoted for building many scholars who are presently established in their field.
