History

About a century ago with a view to impart quality education to the children, local zamindars and some erudite persons of Sainthia took a firm decision to set up a school in the heart of the town which is actually known to all as commercial town in the district. The establishment date as it is found in the recently discovered historical deed, is agreed upon on 2 July in the year 1928. The school then started with the name 'Sainthia High English School' and later it was renamed 'Sainthia High School '. The age-old deed says, on the inaugural day twenty two dignitaries including local zamindars and educationists namely Sri Panchanan Ghosh, Sri Haricharan Ghosh, Sri Prasad Chandra Ghosh and Sri Jaharlal Ghosh were present. They focused on engaging and active learning, commitment to the environment and dedication to the school and local communities.
