History

Rampurhat Railway Adarsha Vidyamandir has always prioritized pursuit of knowledge which is not confined to the pages of a text book. The school is located to the north of Rampurhat beside Rampurhat- Sahibganj Loop Line. Around 1971, some persons interested in education of Railway employee (ER) came forward with a view to spread education among the children of the railway colony and the underprivileged adjoining villages . In the year 1977 it was up-to class VIII. The school got affiliation from WBBSE on 26.1.1984. It is now affiliated to WBBSE and WBCHSE. The school ambience is unique with adequate infrastructure.  The school is improving due to the dedicated team work of the teaching, administrative, assisting staff and school management committee and definitely financial support from the education department of West Bengal. The core mission of the institution is increasing scope and diversification of knowledge utilizing the students to the betterment of society. The Managing Committee of this Institution remains grateful DRM (HWH), Sr. Divl. Engineer/ Project Officer, and all competent authority of Eastern Railway, Howrah, for kind permission for construction additional class Room and others.
