Although our school is some time after independence, there was not much settlement in this area at that time. The school started its journey on February 8, 1961 with the encouragement and efforts of the uprooted people from East Bengal. The beginning of the school journey is very one. It was not smooth, there was no house of its own. There was an elementary school with tin pressed on broken mud walls and palm tree poles. At night the quadrupeds rested comfortably. In the same house we have our junior high school in the morning and primary school in the afternoon. At the next stage, a new primary school house was built at the other end of the school ground and the house was repaired with the help of the people of the area. In 1971, with the donations from Krishnanagar Catholic Mission and donors in the area, a two-storey institution with two lower and three upper rooms was formed. Initially, the school started with fifth and sixth class, but in 1965, it got the approval of seventh and eighth class. Then with the help of other schools, the secondary section started from 1971 and in 1984, the school was upgraded to 10th class. Meanwhile, with the dedicated efforts of the late Narayan Chandra Dutta Mahasaya, the founder of the school, a 20-seat "Ashram Hostel" was established in 1984 for the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It was later recognized as a high school in 2009. Since then, various feathers have been attached to the crown of school success. Vocational courses have been introduced in 2008 to make the youth of the area self-reliant. On January 9, 2013, a feather was added to the crown of success of Kamarhati Chittaranjan High School, the N.C.C. Or the happy inauguration of the National War Student Forces. Then, keeping the students in mind, in 2015, N.C.C.
Since then, in line with the modern age, free computer training has been arranged for the students to educate them in modern education. The school has set up a beautiful laboratory at the secondary level to teach science to the students and to popularize science, not just in theoretical fields. Our school has already crossed half a century and the 2011 Golden Jubilee celebrations were celebrated with great success. New school buildings have been constructed with the help and grant of the government and more buildings are being constructed. Day by day, in keeping with the times Kamarhati Chittaranjan High School , the dream of benevolent Late Narayan Dutta, proclaims its success by raising its head in the form of a three storey building .
