History

The school was established in the pre-independence years of 1945 as a class X high school under the university of Calcutta. The school was upgraded as a XI class higher secondary school with humanities group in 1963. The science stream was opened in the year 1964. The school was upgraded as (10+2) H.S. school in 1976. It is located in the historical Plassey, block and P.S. Kaliganj, Nadia district under the Mira circle. It is under the School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal, under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Presently the school runs all three streams, notably Arts, Science and Commerce, has well equipped laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, Geography and Computers, two smart class rooms and a fully furnished library  with reading room.
