
The school was established in the year 1953 at Swarupganj under Nabadwip P.S on the eastern side of river Bhagirathi. At fast late Punachandra Biswas, ex-professor of Jadavpur University and some education interested person took initiative to setup a school in this locality, the school building was built with the help of Zamindar Palchowdhury of this locality. The school was recognized as a junior high school in the year 1954 under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. After that the school was recognized as a X class high school in the year 1965 and as a higher secondary school in the year 1997 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, more over vocational courses have been introduced in the year 2008 for the betterment of the local school this courses are affiliated under West Bengal state Council of technical and vocational and skill development, govt of wb. Now the school has modern infrastructure to modern methodology and techniques of teaching sticks discipline and pursuing Academic and co curricular activists are the hallmark of the school.
