History

The school is affiliated by the University of Calcutta with effect from 01/01/1949 and recognized as H.S (XI-Class) in 1957 and finally transformed into H.S (XII-Class) in 1976. However, the school does have vocational stream in electrical and civil engineering in X+ level along with STC in VIII+ level on and from 2006 for which the involvement of student is developed. The school has its major objective to deliver the curriculum with effective teaching-learning methods. For achieving this objective, the teachers are encouraged to make use of ICT for teaching in the classes, this can be done by making use of PPT’s, videos, documentaries whenever necessary. These act as a supplement to the traditional chalk and talk method of teaching and learning. Moreover we introduce online classes by the gift of Vivekdisha conducted by Belur Math.

The School also feels that there should be student centric learning methods. Thus there are group discussions, quiz, and discussion on academic topics etc. conducted in the classes. Taking feedback is an integral part of the institutional process and it is taken from different source. The feedback provided is then analyzed to decide the actions and corrective measures to be taken.

The institution considers it important to develop the quality of teaching-learning and numbers of measures have been taken for the same. Feedbacks are taken from students & guardians on the teaching-learning processes and ways identified so that it can be made better. These inputs are considered and measures are taken after discussion for implementation of the same. The School understands the need of good infrastructure to support the institutional processes. There are financial challenges in the School which are being addressed as much as possible.

ICT is promoted among institution and they are using this method for teaching in the classes. The Institution has no library in this moment trying to our best to introduce.
