History

After the establishment of Bagula Sri Krishna College, some of the notable educationists of the locality of Bagula such as Gathis Chandra Basu, Ramendranath Mallick, Sushil Kiran Gupta, Ajit Kumar Bhadra, etc felt the need of setting up a girls' school. The purpose was to spread education among women. So with the help of those noted educationists, Sri Sushil Kiran Gupta set up Haran Chandra Sarat Chandra Sri Krishna Balika Vidyapith in 1953 in the name of his father Haran Chandra and uncle Sarat Chandra Gupta.
