Badkulla United Academy a renowned higher secondary school where students come from different parts of Badkulla –I and II Gram Panchyet areas was set up on 17th June 1945.MR. AM Nasiruddin the then District Magistrate of Nadia laid the foundation stone there and Mr. H S Suhrawardy , Chief Minister of Bengal opened the institution on 6th March 1947 as a Bengali Medium School. If we go back to the very beginning of this institution we shall find out that the first affiliation was given by the Calcutta University. At that time students from Kalinarayanpur, Krishnagar, mamjoan, Dignagar and different parts of its surrounding came here. Actually Badkulla United Academy was then only one institution in a vast area. As Anjana river was near our institution they actually used this river as their transport medium. Boys and Girls both took admission at that time as there was no girls school nereby. The School is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and recognised by School Education Department, West Bengal. This is a school with Upper Primary with Secondary and in the Higher Secondary section having Science, Arts and Commerce and Vocational streams.
