History

The inspiration for establishment of Hazrapur High  School came in early 60s when a group of local philomaths like the then reputed Barrister Haripada Pal,Sisir Sarkar,Paltan Biswas,Kalipada Nayek,Hazarilal Ghosh,Sripada Haldar,Nirmalendu Sarkar,Bimal Kumar Ghosh ,Dost Muhammad and many more envisioned a school based on Mahatma Shyamacharan's educational philosophy on spreading free education in the remote rural areas.Initially the premises near the bank of river Churni was donated by the Zamindar of Barhatta and the school came out as Senior Basic School in 1961 dedicated to enlighten a large population of underprivileged and terminal people.The first headmaster of this school was Sri Sudhangshu Sekhar Moulik.The school was upgraded to co-ed. secondary institution in 1967 and subsequently permitted to introduced Higher Secondary General Stream Courses in the year 2000.Since its birth this school has been spreading the vibe of education amongst the vast students from benighted and neglected socio-economic background.
